With the Sony Digital8 DCR-TRV460 camcorder I can process
the following tapes:
|
Hi8 tape Digital8 Camcorder Tapes
Although they are
all digital camcorder tapes,
Mini DV,
MicroMV and
Digital8 are three different tape
formats and will not work in the same cameras. Please look at your
camera and see if it says
MiniDV,
Micro MV or
Digital 8 on the side and then
choose the appropriate button on the left.
A Digital8 Digital Handycam camcorder can record "digitally" using
either a
Hi8 or
standard 8mm tape.
Hi8 tape is recommended to achieve
optimal performance. If a standard
8mm tape is used, the same camcorder
should be used for recording and playback.
Hi-8 tapes used for Digital8 will
yield 50% of the
Hi 8 recording time. In other words,
a 120 minute
Hi8 will give you 60 minutes of
Digital8 recording capacity. Thanks to the
